With more than $200 million of automobiles and art on display, the new Motorists Concours d’Elégance at Pt. Leo Estate will herald a heady new level of luxury when it comes to local showcases.
A refined and elevated three-day program (April 1-3, 2022) to be held in the prestigious sculpture park of Mornington Peninsula’s standout Pt. Leo Estate, VIC, the event is set to present some truly rare and alluring offerings, including, but not limited to:
- 2020 McLaren Speedtail
- 2018 Pagani Huayra Coupe
- 2022 Formula 1 Display Car
- 1973 Ferrari Daytona Comp Coupe
- 1923 Rolls Royce Ghost Brougham De Ville
- 1994 McLaren F1
- 1923 Bugatti T23 Brescia
- 1977 Lamborghini Countach P400 Periscopico
The brainchild of The Motorists’ Dave Belford and Ben Musu, amongst a collective that also includes well-known TV producer Julian Cress, the desire is for the event to become globally recognised and held in similar regard to the likes of Italy’s Villa d’Este, California’s Pebble Beach and London’s Blenheim Palace.
“The instant I stepped into the sculpture park I just knew we had to hold a Concours D’Elegance there,” says Belford. “Having been to some of the best concours around the world I’m sure we can hold a place amongst them in this setting.”
The inaugural Pt. Leo showcase offers an accompanying luxury hospitality program that features:
- Pommery Cocktail Night Under the Stars
- Concours Experience & VIP Pavilion Package – exclusive Club House with free-flowing Pommery Champagne, Mediterranean grazing stations and entertainment.
- Concours Experience & Pt. Leo Restaurant three-course lunch, prepared by Culinary Director Josep Espuga
The full program of event packages can be viewed HERE
Opened to the public in 2017, Pt. Leo Estate has become a significant lifestyle and cultural destination, not only for the Mornington Peninsula, but across the global art world with pieces from artists including KAWS, Julian Opie, George Rickey, Lenton Parr, Tony Cragg, Inge King and more.
The winery, estate and sculpture park rests on 330 hectares of manicured landscaping nuzzling the sea and is owned by John Gandel AC and Mrs Pauline Gandel AC.
Mr & Mrs Gandel said: “We are so proud of the collection we have brought together over so many years and get much joy we are sharing it with the public … When the Motorists approached us with the idea of staging a classic car exhibition amongst the sculptures we were instantly intrigued. After all, cars are sculptural too.”
Do not miss out on this lavish meeting of incredible automobiles and esteemed art.
