Stella Artois delivered a bespoke Sensorium Welcome Dinner for VIP guests of the Portsea Polo last weekend.
Stella Artois has become synonymous with tasteful, lavish events – and they really know how to put the ‘fun’ in function. For the second year in a row, the Belgian beer brand celebrated its partnership with the Portsea Polo on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, kicking off the festivities on Friday night with the delectable Sensorium Welcome Dinner at Pt Leo Estate.
Under the esteemed stewardship of culinary director Phil Wood, the multi-course menu featured a selection of the award-winning restaurant’s signature dishes complemented by custom creations inspired by Stella Artois. Among the standouts were melt-in-the-mouth corned beef short ribs with cucumber and shiitake pickle, mushroom soy and Stella Artois white sauce, and the insanely delicious hazelnut and chocolate mousse with Stella Artois caramel. The pale lager-style craft beer, served up in frosty goblets, paired perfectly with food, as did the selection of fine Pt Leo Estate wines.
The glamour quotient among the guests did not disappoint: among those in attendance were Point Break’s Luke Bracey and his new partner, Playing for Keeps’ Olympia Valance; Hacksaw Ridge’s Ben Mingay and his wife, actress Kirby Burgess; Logie-winner Melina Vidler; and Victoria’s Secret model Georgia Fowler. The spectacular Pt Leo Estate setting – 135 hectares of sculpture park and rolling vineyards on immaculately tended grounds framed by sparkling ocean views across Western Port – could not have been more magical.
