Grounds Manager
Grounds Manager Darren Balfour maintains the extensive 134-hectare grounds of Pt. Leo Estate. With more than 30 years of landscaping and turf management experience, Darren brings a wealth of skill and knowledge in all aspects of horticulture and turf industries to his position.
As grounds manager, Darren oversees a team of experienced horticulturists who maintain the entire property, striving to present the estate in immaculate condition for the enjoyment of all visitors. The team duties also extend to vineyard presentation and the upkeep of the sculptures.
Day-to-day, Darren manages a diverse workflow including recruitment, staffing, daily work programmes, budgeting, OHS contractor management and future planning.
