Chardonnay 2010

Chardonnay 2010

Winemaking: Hand-picked fruit was gently whole-bunch pressed into a tank and settled overnight. It was then transferred into French Oak Barriques and Puncheons (20% new, 80% second, third and fourth use) and inoculated with a neutral yeast. From May until late winter (8 months) the barrels were stirred occasionally until MLF was completed. The wine was left on yeast lees until bottling in January 2011.

Nose: Pronounced flavours of walnuts and cashews with baked apricots

Palate: As this wine has a nice age on it, the palate is very rich and creamy hinting notes of butterscotch and honey dew melon and orange pith. This wine is ready to drink and to be enjoyed now.
