Winemaking: Handpicked fruit was gently whole-bunch pressed into a tank and settled overnight. It was then transferred into French oak barriques and puncheons (20% new, 80% old) and yeast was added. From May until late winter, the barrels were stirred every two weeks until malolactic fermentation (MLF) was completed. The wine was then left on yeast lees until bottling in December 2016.

Nose: The nose displays delicious aromas of fresh citrus, apricot and floral notes teamed with subtle oak.

Palate: Subtle flavours reflect the aromas – particularly lemon, apricot and elegant oak. The wine has a soft middle palate with good length and a lovely acid balance. This wine will be best enjoyed over the next two to three years.

Compliments: Oysters, sashimi, onion & goats cheese frangipani tart, tuna rolls, mussels
