We have been blessed with many great accolades since opening October but we all agree we really need to shout about this one. In the May issue of Gourmet Traveller magazine, Pt. Leo Estate has been listed as one of the Top Ten Exciting New Restaurants in the World. Quite an achievement when restaurants such as Noma 2.0 and Gucci Osteria de Massimo Botura are mentioned alongside Pt. Leo Estate.
We set out at the beginning to be a world-class venture and it looks like we are on the way. Congrats to our very dedicated team.

We are fully booked for Mother’s Day but please consider booking early for the Queen’s Birthday long weekend. Pt. Leo Estate Restaurant and Laura are open as usual across the three days and in addition both restaurants will open for dinner on Sunday, 10 June.
Laban’s Seal III joins the Sculpture Park Long Weekend
This month we welcome a new work of art, Laban’s Seal III. In aluminium at 3.5 metres tall, by late Melbourne Artist Les Kossatz, Laban’s Seal III is a contemporary version of an ancient monument erected by Laban and Jacob in the 6th century BC. Kossatz is known for his work featuring sheep motifs, perhaps signifying the spirit of the Australian landscape, and more of his works appear at the Australian War Memorial, the High Court of Australia and the NGV.
Wine + Cellar Door
The 2018 harvest was one of the better seasons we have seen, perhaps as good as 2013 and 2015. No extremes in weather, a nice amount of rain in January and a good steady ripening period meant harvest occurred in ideal conditions. Check out this drone footage….
Our 2016 Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Shiraz, plus 2017 Pinot Gris have all been entered into the 2018 International Cool Climate Wine Show judged on the Mornington. There is also a public tasting of wines on Tuesday, 22 May – see here for details.
